in the Sky : New Airlines
This summer sees two of India’s top private airlines fly
out of South Asia for the first time and the favoured destination
is Britain. Taking the lead is Jet Airways which launched its
Mumabi-London (Heathrow Airport) non-stop flight this week.
A
special inaugural return fare of Rs 23,000 offered to those booking
before May 31 and comencing travel before June 30. Meanwhile,
Air Sahara has bagged two flights a week to Gatwick, 45 km from
London. By the middle of next year, air travellers between the
two cities will have a choice of nearly eight daily flight - with
airlines such as Air-India, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and
British Midland joining the bandwagon.
