Breeds and Grooming
When you’ve acquired a dog as your pet, it becomes your lot
to tend for, fend and defend, and speaking of tending or caring
for your dog, grooming is perhaps among the foremost of your headaches.
Different breeds require different ways of grooming.
>>German Shepherd : The Short-haired coat of the German Shepherd
requires little attention. Special care needs to be exercised only
during
the period of moulting when a special comb is required to remove
loose or dead hair.
>>Dalmatian : Although a large dog, it has very small hair. Therefore,
brushing onve in a while serves the purpose of its grooming and maintenance.
>>Doberman : Here again, grooming poses hardly and problem. A rubber
glove may be necessary during moulting to remove shedding hair. However,
the dog’s claws must be regularly clipped and the teeth checked
for tartar.
>>Rotweiler : The need of the Rotweiler are very similar to that
of the Doberman. Rubber gloves are again used to remove loose or
dead
hair during moulting (as it works better than a normal brush). Special
lotions can be used to make the coat shine. Keep the claws short
and ear passeges clean. |
