Pankaj Advani :

Snooker’s newest rage, Bangalore’s Pankaj Advani’s future couldn’t look any brighter. Playing explosive billiards, he defeated the world renowned Geet Sethi in Malta this March after a gruelling six-hour match to become the youngest winner of the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Billiards Time Format Championship. In November 2003 he won the world snooker title at the age of 18 becoming only the second Indian cueist to win the IBSF world snooker title.
Advani is yet another entrant into the elitist group of Indian world champions joining the ranks of Wilson Jones, Michael Ferreira and Geet Sethi, but the success is heightened by his achievements at such a young age. Clearly 2005 will the defining year for his arrival into the top league of world class billiard players.
