Virendra Sehwag
:
He’s been often touted as the next best player to Sachin
Tendulkar, and his recent performance in the Indo-Pak
series has authenticated it. Sehwag’s run aggregate of
544 runs in the series is the highest by an Indian in a home
series
edging past Gavaskar’s earlier best of a series aggregate
of 529 runs in 1979-80.
Interestingly he also became the first
Indian batsman to end up to on the losing side despite scoring
a double century! Having scored over 5,000 runs in first-class
cricket using his aggresive and dazzling batting style, combined
with an effective spin bowling technique, makes Sehwag an achiever.
Humble beginnings and strong family values are what successful
cricketers are made off! |
