Aditya Chopra :
The 34-years-old son of veteran Yash Chopra
is not a familiar face. A recognised name, though. Aditya Chopra’s
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge broke
every conceivable cinematic record in the country in 1995. But
few know that his professional stint with the industry traces
back to 1989 with the hit Chandni,
for which he was the assistant director.
He expanded his oeuvre
to produce and even write screenplays. His big ones last year
(Dhoom, Veer Zaara and Hum Tum) Spanned
three individual genres, each one won big at both, the film awards
and audience rankings, netting a cool Rs.
136 crore. Ensuring that their company, Yash Raj Films,
entered Hollywood Reporter’s annual top 100 film production
houses in the world at No. 28. Sometimes, genius is hereditary. |
