Farah Khan :
If there was anyone whose shoes we would have liked to tread in
this year, it would be Farah Khan. The choreographer/director
had gone international with her choreography in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s
theatrical extravaganza Bomaby Dreams for which she was nominated
as Best Choreographer for Broadway’s 2004 Tony Award (which
for theatricals measures up to an Oscar). She followed that up
by hitting the jackpot with her maiden directorial venture Main
Hoon Na, and crowned the winning streak with her recent nuptials
to young film editor, Shirish Kunder. If there are any doubters
still for Farah’s competence, get a load of this. She has
been signed on for yet another whammy in choreography - a chinese
film which is being financed by the co-producer of the 2005 Oscar
winning flick, Million Dollar Baby. |
