Vivek Oberoi :
When Vivek Oberoi upped and headed down south to Tamil Nadu,
following the Tsunami disaster speculation was rife about this
being another
of the actor’s stunts. But his act of charity and concern
saw expression in the adoption of an entire village - Devanampattinam
- where the actor helped erect relief camps and community kitchens
and also screened films to put them in better spirits. Incidentally,
the Oberoi family’s spiritual guide, Swami Chidanand Saraswati
Maharaj, also pitched in - counselling the traumatised victims
and actively participating in the rehabilitation projects. |
