Short Story : This monumental epic
traces the advantures of Balian, a young French blacksmith,
who, while mourning the death of his wife end child, is approached
by Godfrey of Ibelin (a baron to the King of Jerusalem) to join
his holy crusade.

Balian is Godfrey’s illegitimate son and soon inherits
a title and kingdom of his own. In a strange new land, serving
a doomed king, the hero rises to become the most honourable
and heroic of knights protecting the people.
What you didn’t know : While
shooting the film, Spain stood in for 12th century France and
Morocco for the holy land of Jerusalem.
